Earlier, there was Samsung Wallet; then, it became Samsung Pay. The company is bringing back the Wallet app with lots of Samsung services into one app. These days digital wallets are common as other brands like Apple, and Google, have also adopted the technology. Digital wallets make the work easy as users don’t need to take the documents with them.
Samsung Digital Wallet App Now Available In Selected Regions
With digital wallets, users can make payments, unlock and start their vehicles, show ids, and more. The new Samsung Wallet is combined with the existing Samsung Blockchain Wallet app. So, you can easily view the value of your crypto portfolio. Earlier this year, Samsung teased a few features at its Unpacked event that will also be added. Features like storing digital IDs and driver’s license. The head of Digital Life, Jeanie Han, EVP, at Samsung, said, “Samsung Wallet is bringing a new level of everyday convenience to mobile devices with a totally safe and secure environment for storing digital keys, cards, and more. As part of our ongoing commitment to open ecosystems, we will continue to expand on the capabilities of Samsung Wallet by working closely with our trusted partners and developers.” Samsung Wallet supports digital automobile keys for selected models like BMW 1-8 series, X5-X7, and iX models that launched after July 2020. Also, Hyundai Palisade, Genesis GV60, and G90. The company is expected to add more automobiles feature in the future. Users can track their digital portfolio and add support for license and student IDs. These features will be supported later this year. Currently, the digital wallet app is available for Galaxy users in the US, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK. The users can open the Samsung Pay or Samsung Pass app and migrate to the Samsung wallet app. Or can download the app via the Google Play store.
