Microsoft Touts Windows Defender, Shows You Don’t Need Third-Party Antivirus
The antivirus of Windows 10, known as Windows Defender, has positioned itself as one of the best alternatives for other antivirus and every time has the support of a greater part of the community. However, the tech giant Microsoft wanted to give importance to their own antivirus, highlighting a recent study of the AV-Test research firm which includes various tests conducted between January and February of this 2019. The Redmond explains that their antivirus can even overcome the solutions of third parties in almost all areas when it comes to efficiency. According to the tech giant Microsoft, Windows Defender has significantly improved its performance in the latest antivirus tests. In particular, they emphasize that their antivirus obtained a perfect score in different protection tests, while it only marked false positive in two samples of malware between 2000. The study notes that Windows Defender obtained 5.5 points out of a maximum of 6 in the performance tests, which the tech giant Microsoft says “outperforms the industry in almost all areas, with these results reflecting our investments in performance optimization.” The tech giant Microsoft stresses that the Windows Defender security provides users is enhanced by the full set of security features that are included in the Windows 10 operating system. They claim, of course, the tech giant Microsoft that while Windows Defender is not completely infallible, the rest of security solutions included in Windows 10 makes it almost impossible for the user’s operating system to be infected by any type of external threat.
